Tambest participated in GPD 2025 on June 10–12 at Nokia Arena, Tampere

Tambest took part in Glass Performance Days (GPD), the leading international forum for sharing ideas, innovations, and expertise in the glass industry.
At the event, we showcased our curved and ballistic glass solutions.
GPD brings together professionals from across the glass industry – researchers, architects, designers, manufacturers, processors, equipment suppliers, and end users – creating a unique environment for collaboration and inspiration.

Minister Sanni Grahn-Laasonen visited Tambest

During the visit, we showcased the best of Finnish glass expertise: glass products for the defense industry and curved glass solutions that combine safety, design, and technical know-how. We also discussed the importance of domestic manufacturing, exports, and the future outlook of the industry.
It is important to share Finnish expertise directly with decision-makers – and to hear how industrial development can be supported through collaboration.

During the visit, we discussed the future outlook of the industry and the importance of Finnish expertise in ensuring security of supply. Tambest also presented its latest innovations that address the growing demand in the defense sector, as well as the possibilities of curved glass in façade construction.

First client of 6G Test Centre: Tambest develops bulletproof, signal-protected glass

The 6G Test Center at the University of Oulu Finland has commenced testing services for corporate clients. The first client is the Finnish glass processing factory Tambest which also has export operations.
“We are researching and developing the thinnest and lightest possible bulletproof glasses, signal protection glasses, and glasses suitable for withstanding explosion pressure waves, as well as their various combinations. Additionally, we can enhance products with PDLC smart film, classified as burglar-resistant, bend them into shape, or add heating glass for both land vehicles and boats,” continues Joni Kaski the CEO of Tambest.

Along with twelve other companies, Tambest participated in the Define Accelerator’s Fall Batch Demo Day at the Define Innovation Hub in Riihimäki, Finland, in February 27, presenting its glass solutions.
Defence Innovation Network Finland (DEFINE) is an innovation ecosystem initiated by the City of Riihimäki. Its goal is to build an international, high-level defence and security industry network. As an innovation ecosystem, DEFINE brings together the best military and civilian experts to create new innovations that serve both military needs and the society as a whole.
